MUSIC THERAPY: FIRST RESEARCH Call for papers Date: 2nd February, 2002 Venue: Anglia Polytechnic University, East Road, Cambridge. Conference Theme: The focus will be on presentations by music therapists who have recently completed (or are in the process of completing) their MA theses and are embarking on new research projects. It is hoped that ex Anglia Polytechnic University trainees as well as music therapists who have trained on other music therapy courses will be presenting work. Presentations will last half an hour and there will be time allocated for questions both after each presentation as well as at the end of the morning and the afternoon. We would encourage you to include video or audio excerpts where possible. Organisation: The conference will be organised jointly by Anglia Polytechnic University (Amelia Oldfield - APU Research Fellow) and the British Society for Music Therapy (Denize Christophers - BSMT Administrator). Conference Publication: We are hoping to publish the papers presented at the conference in book form (BSMT publications). The book will be jointly edited by Amelia Oldfield (APU) and Helen Odell-Miller (APU). We will aim to have the book ready by the World Music Therapy Conference to be held in Oxford in July 2002.
