ENVIRONMENT AND CULTURE CALL FOR PAPERS MID-ATLANTIC POPULAR CULTURE ANNUAL CONFERENCE November 1-3, 2002 Pittsburgh, PA The environment is arguably the most significant aspect of human culture and society, pervading every aspect of our personal and professional lives, from where we live, work and play to how we dispose of our waste. ^”Environment and Culture^‘ as a topic explores the various ways in which the environment shapes and is shaped by human action/interaction with the environment. Papers may address both theoretical and practical aspects of environment and culture. Papers from all disciplines and historical periods are invited, and papers from graduate students are encouraged. Full panels and roundtable proposals are also welcome.
