CALL FOR PAPERS
Exploring the Renaissance 2004
An International Conference
April 1-3, 2004
Sponsored by the South-Central Renaissance Conference, the Queen Elizabeth
I Society, the Andrew Marvell Society, the University of Texas at Austin,
and St. Edward's University.
Twenty-minute papers are welcome in any area of Renaissance Studies,
including art, history, literature, music, philosophy, science, and
theology. In particular, submissions are invited on the following topics:
Science and Expansion
The Renaissance Maze
Public Piety and Private Devotion
Queen Elizabeth I Society:
Her writings and speeches
Her government and its policies
Her court and its cultural creations
Her life and afterlife in literature, art, and film
SCRC: Sessions should be proposed no later than November 30, 2003.
Individual papers must be submitted no later than December 31, 2003.
Please send two copies of both the abstract (100 words) and the paper

proposals is welcomed, individual papers should not be submitted

Membership: All conference participants are required to join SCRC and are
encouraged to submit publication-length versions of their papers to the
SCRC Journal, Explorations in Renaissance Culture.
