The Petrucci Motet Prints: Crucible of the New Style

A one-day conference at McGill University's Redpath Hall with 
"interactive" concert

10:00		Julie Cumming on Compere's "Officium de Cruce"
		Sarah Fuller on Michael of Verona's "Tulerunt Domine"
1:00		Cristle Collins Judd on Josquin's "Magnus es tu, Domine"
		Joshua Rifkin on Josquin's "Tu solus qui facis mirabilia"
3:00:		Concert

During the day, speakers will talk about the pieces they have selected,
and in the afternoon, the professional vocal ensemble VivaVoce will
perform the same pieces under the direction of Peter Schubert. The
participants will then intervene, commenting, making performance
suggestions, even conducting!

All events are free. The conference is supported by SSHRC and is presented
by the McGill Faculty of Music.
