Call for Papers
Submission Deadline for Proposals: December 1, 2005
Music Theory South East will hold its annual meeting March 3-4 at the
University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. The keynote speaker will be
William Rothstein. Proposals for papers, special sessions, or panel
discussions are solicited on any topic related to music theory.
Submissions (paper or electronic) should include the following:
1. An anonymous proposal, 3-4 pages of double-spaced text (musical
examples, if relevant, are not counted towards the page limit).
2. An abstract of 200-250 words, suitable for publication.
3. A cover letter providing the title of the proposal, the author's
name, address, institutional affiliation, e-mail address, phone
number, and any special equipment needs.
An award will be presented for the best student paper/presentation at
the 2006 meeting. Interested students should identify themselves in
the cover letter and submit one copy of the complete paper along with
the proposal and abstract. Submissions for special sessions or panel
discussions should not be anonymous, but should include proposal,
abstract, and a list of participants.
Paper submissions must include six copies of the proposal and be
postmarked no later than December 1, 2005. Mail to Boyd Pomeroy, MTSE

Electronic submissions (PDF or word format) must be sent no later than
