CALL FOR PAPERS

The next conference of the American Society for Exile Studies
will be held September 14 - 17, 2006 at Trinity College
(Hartford, Connecticut).  Papers from all disciplines are
invited that explore the dynamics of exile and travel in arts
and writings of German exile. Papers may be presented either in
German or English.

Suggested topics are:

o Exile, Travel and Hybridity
o Exile and "Traveling Cultures"
o Exile, Travel and Memory
o Exile and Stations of Travel
o Exile and Traditions of Literary Travel
o Exile and Mind Travel
o Exile as Travel; Exile versus Travel
o Exile, Travel and Teleology
