Baltic Music Study Day

Leeds, May 19th 2007

Following a preliminary announcement earlier this year, I am pleased to
announce that the Royal Musical Association and the School of Music, Leeds
University, will present A STUDY DAY ON BALTIC MUSIC.

This will take place on SATURDAY 19th MAY 2007 at the School of Music,
Leed University. The day will consist of papers followed by a plenary
discussion. A Baltic-themed buffet lunch will be provided. It is hoped to
include a concert, but this will only be confirmed once budgetary
limitations are clearer. I have set up a temporary web page for this event

Proposals for papers are invited from scholars with an interest in Baltic
(Lithuanian/Latvian/Estonian) music. Research students are welcome.
Abstracts of not more than 200 words should be submitted to the convenor,
George Kennaway [], by March 1st 2007 for consideration
by the programme committee.

To register please send your name with electronic and postal addresses
(enclosing a 10 registration fee (made out to the Royal Musical
Association) to: Susan Bagust, RMA Student Liaison Officer, Wold Farm
Cottage, Bishop Wilton, York YO42 1SX, UK
