CALL FOR PAPERS
Commemorating the 150th anniversary of Isaac Albeniz's birth and 100th anniversary of his death, the 9th International Symposium on Spanish Keyboard Music “Diego Fernández” will be held in Mojácar-Garrucha, Almería, Andalusia, from 10th through 12th October 2008, as part of FIMTE 2008: the 9th International Festival of Spanish Keyboard Music. The festival shall feature both mainstream and fringe concerts as well as various courses and exhibitions.
Proposals for papers are particularly encouraged in the following areas:
-Isaac Albéniz’s piano music
-Towards a national piano school: 19th century Spanish keyboard music previous to Iberia (composers, repertoire, instruments, iconography…)
We welcome 200-250 word abstracts for 15-minute papers. Abstracts should be signed at the bottom with the author's name, institutional affiliation or city of residence and full return address, including e-mail address and fax number where possible.
Official languages: English and Spanish.
