Ibero-American Conference,
DePaul University

DePaul University, School for New Learning announces a conference on
information sharing regarding research, composers and performers in the
Ibero-American World. 
July 10-12, 1997.

This conference will focus attention on a wide range of issues with regard
to Hispanic music.  Included will be a consideration of popular and folk
musics as well as information hsaring (using advanced technologies) with
regard to Hispanic composers, performers, and researchers. This conference
will be held at DePaul University in Chicago. Papers that deal with a wide
range of Hispanic music themes are invited. Of special interest are papers
that deal with contemporary music. Papers should be 20 minutes in length
and deal with a particular topic as clearly as possible. Concerts
featuring a wide range of music will be included during the conference.
