CALL FOR PAPERS IRELAND: THE LAST HUNDRED YEARS
In 1998, the Canadian Association for Irish Studies will join the Congress of Social Sciences and Humanities. We will hold our conference, therefore, at the University of Ottawa, May 28-30. This gathering used to be called, affectionately, "The Learneds." Our theme, "Ireland: The Last Hundred Years," should inspire scholars in all our disciplines--history, literature, women's studies, political studies, music--to submit proposals for splendid papers. We especially encourage younger scholars to participate in this event. Graduate students' papers will not be set apart. We need to hear from everyone. This letter is a CALL for PAPERS relating to our conference theme. Submissions should be either one-page abstracts or completed works. No paper longer than twenty minutes will be accepted.
