Frank Sinatra: The Man, The Music, The Legend CALL FOR PAPERS: the Frank Sinatra Conference at Hofstra University November 12-14 1998
Hofstra University will commemorate his life, his career, and his worldwide societal influence with a scholarly and professional conference. We invite expressions of interest for the presentation of papers, for special addresses, and to serve as discussants from historians, political scientists, sociologists, psychologists, philosophers, authors, biographers, musicologists, musicians, composers, arrangers, agents, entertainment law specialists, producers, critics, media representatives, fans and friends, and for professional appearances or performances from entertainers. In your expression of interest, please inform us of the topic you would present. Entertainers should indicate whether they are willing to participate by appearance or performance or both. We welcome topics on all aspects of Frank Sinatra's personality, his life, and career, including but not limited to his musical genius, his impact on the style and history of entertainment, his multigenerational presence, and his interdisciplinary influence on popular culture in America and internationally.
