Authorship and ‘Authenticity’ in Composition, Editing and Performance

Following the success of our conference in 2010 at Cardiff University (http://stringeditions.leeds.ac.uk/news.htm), the CHASE project is pleased to announce its second international conference. This will take place at the University of Leeds (UK) School of Music on April 4-5, 2012.
The CHASE project – Collecting Historical Annotated String music Editions – is a 4-year project funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council, examining annotated, or ‘performing’, editions of string music in the period 1820-1930. Its current URL is http://stringeditions.leeds.ac.uk/index.html . We are in the process of restructuring this site, and when this work is completed you will be redirected to the new address, where you will find our conference pages.
A more detailed announcement and call for papers will be appear in due course. Enquiries should be sent to Dr. George Kennaway, g.w.kennaway@leeds.ac.uk.
