The Home of Metal : Heavy Metal and Place

We are pleased to announce that registration is open for The Home of Metal Conference an international conference exploring, celebrating and debating the significant themes and origins of Metal.

The Home of Metal Conference takes place at the University of Wolverhampton and Light House, Wolverhampton from 1 – 4 September 2011. Please visit for further information and to book a place. All delegates must book in advance.

The conference is part of the Home of Metal project, which celebrates Birmingham and the Black Country as the birthplace of Heavy Metal. A series of exhibitions, live events, and film screenings will also take place across the region all exploring various themes of Heavy Metal.
